  • Hello DigiPony, how are you doing? I hope you are okay so far.

I remember that you were uploading the 3D Models of Axel Gear and Sparkster from the Rocket Knight 2010 game, and that you also have an Account on Spriters Resource. We are still missing quite a lot of the 3D Models from the Enemies, NPCs and Bosses. IIRC the user Goron0000 was able to rip some of the 3D Models.

Do you mind if you could make Screenshots from the remaining characters from Rocket Knight 2010 and add them to the Image Gallery? And could you try to contact Goron0000 to rip the remaining Models for the Rocket Knight Wikipedia Project? It would help us a lot! :)

      Loading editor
    • I don't know how to rip models, but I might contact the user if he could rip some character models.

Which character models do you want from that user would rip?

        Loading editor
    • You were able to make Screenshots from the 3D Models with a transparent background, if I remember that correctly. You were uploading the one of Axel Gear and Sparkster (Rocket Knight and Farmer version), after all. :)

We could use every 3D Model that is missing. General Sweinhart, Princess Cherry, Princess Sherry, the pig soldiers, the Bosses... It would help a lot if Goron0000, or someone else who can rip 3D Models from the game, could do us this favor for the Rocket Knight Wikipedia Project. They would also get full Credit for their hard work.

        Loading editor
    • The 3D model screenshots were actually the model preview images from The Models Resource.

And wait, Princess Cherry appeared in RK2010? I didn't see all of the cutscenes through videos, but I didn't know she appeared?

        Loading editor
    • She does appear. After you defeat the Forest Shredder there's a cutscene where Axel Gear and General Sweinhart are talking to the Pig Soldiers and citizens of Zephyrus about defending Zephyrus from the Wolves' attacks. Princess Cherry is standing next to General Sweinhart on the right of the podium. I recognized her from the blond hair and red dress.

  • How's it been? Hope all is well.

First of all sorry if I'm sounding too demanding or something. I know you're probably very busy, but it would be helpful if we had an active admin so we could make all the changes necessary for the wiki (there's only so much I can do by myself). If needed be, you could maybe give Kokoa admin rights, that way we'd have someone taking care of things while you're away.

  • Me and Kokoa have been discussing a few changes to the wiki's overall theme. I took the liberty and made a new Wiki Wordmark and Header picture:

I also tried to make a new background image based on one of the official, but I don't know if it's looking good: https://i.imgur.com/8J3uRqH.jpg

I'll see later what I can do for the font page as well.

      Loading editor
    • Now that I can also see what graphics you have in mind and what the Wordmark should look like I can aprove even more to the changes.

I think going for a new theme won't hurt the Wiki. It more likely make the Design look more modernized as the last game was released in 2010, so going with the current Art Style for the Franchise would be the best bet.

I'm not really sure about how the front page should look like . From what I've seen from so many other Wikis I'm indecisive of what look we could go with to make it look more organized.

        Loading editor
    • The wordmark and header you made looks okay, though the background that I made is kinda ugly since it was a screenshot from a gameplay video. Here's the picture in question:
Kingdom of Zebulos Rocket Knight Adventures

Now if you're wondering about the wordmark I made, it was from a spritesheet ripped by Xinos. I've edited the letter "N" on Paint.NET to make it look like a "W"

The Favicon came from the password icons that appeared in RKA2 which is ripped by a user named Solink.

LaVey and Magma MK-II were asking me to ask you if you want to join the Discord Server of Konami Classics. They have been inviting you around last week already.

I made those new graphics for this reason, replacing the current ones. When possible see if you can replace them.

I have also made a few new design templates which will also help us organizing stuff and make the wiki look much better. I'll be able to change the front page now as well.

Also if you could, add the Discord widget here as well. Just copy and paste the content of these pages:

  • You were just using my knowledge about the Rocket Knight Franchise to get the fucking attention of the Konami Classics Administrators and nothing more.

You know what? Congratulations, YOU REACHED YOUR GOAL.

I'm NOT letting YOU abuse my knowledge and my translation skills so you can work your way up for things you haven't done.

That actually explains why you haven't even asked me about joining you as a part of the Administrators. Because you FEAR that I could take everything over because I have more knowledge about the Franchise than you do and the skills to translate the Japanese Manuals. OR you just don't want to let others see that you need help to get the Rocket Knight Wiki Site running smoothly.

YOU are nothing but a fucking abuser. I should have trusted my guts and should have listened to my friends because they told me you are suspicious. I thought you would really have any interest in talking with me. To work with me as a team. Yet you don't provide ANY reasonable thought of really taking actions. All you do is asking me questions, plastering the site with comments that are totally unneseccary, working your way around so everyone can see YOUR name on the recent activities on the Rocket Knight Wiki while I'M standing in the shadows though you clearly know that I'M also a part of this Wiki!

    • I never wanted to be part of the Konami Classics Admins, I only wanted the wiki to simply grow I never wanted to be noticed since I'm treated like an outcast on two certain wikis I've used to join.

I've never had a paranoid fantasy that you would take over, I just wanted someone to help me out I only see myself as a moderator to make sure no one vandalizes a page or spread false info within this wiki.

The reason why I was editing, is when you joined it gave me the urge to help others out not like I was doing out of myself as a "leader". Seriously, I am not egotistical.

The comments I made is because I wanted to say something I've thought about so if any other users came to this wiki they might talk to me or not.

I never see myself as some sort of big shot, I see myself as an outcast that would rather find a place that only a few people go to and isn't noticed much.

I didn't want any trouble to occur, I've dealt with things like this before and it wasn't pretty for me that it was the reason why I don't talk that much to users on certain wikis I join with to edit some things.

That's why I couldn't discuss with you is that I felt like you would judge me of what I would say. I was harassed back during the past of what I said to someone on a thread. You might've thought I was an idiot of how I talk, but I don't think of you taking over as a sort of paranoid thought.

I'm very sorry about my outburst from a few days ago. I mean it sincere. I was just so stressed and had a very bad mood due to that, and after coming back here and seeing all of this stuff going on I was just snapping, and I can't really even tell why I was snapping in the first place. I was probably just too stressed and had to take a serious break from the internet so I'm not losing my entire sanity.

Again, I'm very sorry. I didn't mean to jump on your throat like this. Nonetheless we really should try to work together hand in hand with the others from now on. It's really no use if you try to avoid me by simply not speaking to me. I am always available here on the Wiki site or on my DeviantART page. You don't need to shy away from talking/discussing things with me related to the Rocket Knight Wikipedia. You asked me for help because you want this site to grow and to be a good source for others, after all, right?

I just hope you understand that I was slightly getting the feeling that you were just using me for grabbing some attention/credits. Not because of all your editing actions but rather because you simply never spoke to me in regards of anything regarding the changes of the Rocket Knight Wikipedia in a whole. I'm not someone who wants to control anything, either, yet I do rely on teamwork.

    • Yes, I can understand when someone is overwhelmed by the stress and the current mood they have, that it will lead up to a problem. It's okay to take break off from the 'net as it can be stress inducing.

About me never discussing things for this wiki, as I've stated in my previous post, back then in a certain wiki I was introduced, I was chatting on thread and then this user came along to make fun of how I write. At that time, I was kinda the "awkward-type" since the way I talked back then might've been obnoxious and I was new to Wikia at the time.

Where I've been through, it made me correct myself when talking to others so I won't come off as repetitive that will lead to annoyance towards other users.

        Loading editor
    • Exactly that's the reason why I was taking a few days off, and now that I had enough space I can concentrate a bit more about the things we need to do here around the Rocket Knight Wikipedia in a whole. Still I'm very sorry about the way I was going out on you and the others. I know they all just try to help us, but at that time I was just too blind/stressed to really grasp the situation in a whole. I just hope it won't leave any bittersweet tastes in anyone's mouth, even if I know how rude I was coming off.

I fully understand how you feel about being 'judged' by others. I'm on the same boat. Nonetheless it really shouldn't hold you back talking to me. Every person has their quirks and I'm certainly not someone who is judging people out of the blue. I only judge the things I witness with my own eyes. So please, don't feel awkward about all of this. I know it's hard to break out of a shell because of the fear of getting judged/being made fun out of, but I'm not that type of personality that would do something like that.

By the way, I took my time to replace the Sprites of Axel Gear. They should all have transparent backgrounds now.

  • Hello Digipony.

A friend of mine commented about how the Rocket Knight Wiki recently started to have a lot of activity. He insisted me to extend you an invitation to our Discord server. See, we are administrators of some Konami classics wikis such as Castlevania, Contra, Ganbare Goemon, Gradius and TwinBee, and we share a Discord server appropriately called "Konami Classics".

Feel free to pay us a visit whenever you like and see if you are interested to be included in our circle and have an exclusive channel for the Rocket Knight Wiki too.

Thanks for reading and have a nice day.

    • It's all cool. I'll try to do some edits here and there (when I'm not busy on my other wikis), and I hope we can all work together to fix and expand this wiki.

      Take care, guys and gals!

Thank you very kindly for understanding and that it wasn't leaving some bad taste in everyone's mouth. As I said, I'm usually a calm nature and wouldn't burst out like this.

We're very grateful for any help that we can get, even if it's just small fixes in certain Articles or new content that we couldn't gather. :)

  • Sorry but I just can't hold myself back here anymore because I'm slowly getting triggered by this.

You really have the nerves to tell me to make the backgrounds of Sprites transparent just because "other Wikis have it that way". I'm not "other" Wikis and I was ripping these Sprites out of the games myself. What's the point of making these backgrounds transparent? As soon as people download them and open them in MircoSoft Paint (as example) they will lose their transparency, or they can add the transparency by their very own with the help of certain programs. I really see no point of wasting my time for working on a transparent Background. This is just nitpicking. Nothing more, nothing less. If I ever feel like making them transparent then I will, but certainly not today or in the upcoming days.

FURTHERMORE it's really astounding that you, as Administrator, expect so much but contribute this less when it comes down to one thing: Communication.

You expect me, someone who is very new to this Fandom Wikipedia things, to learn everything myself instead of really helping out in that matter or at least to explain the simple basics that shouldn't be too hard to explain. Just because I said that I am capable to understand things quick doesn't mean I can learn everything completely by my own. Communication is key. You are the Administrator! You have responsibilities! Don't just add someone to your Wiki and say: "Oh yeah, this is your working space now. Good luck on your things.". You can be glad that I'm smart enough to take other Articles as a guidance to understand the formatting etc. this way.

Do you want to know what I think about all of this? Since a certain amount of time now I feel like all I'm really good for is to provide you the Japanese Manuals, otherwise I have no value to all of this. I feel used.

Seeing you working so fast just makes me less effective as a member of this Wiki. Every time I'm done with something you were doing something else behind my back without talking to me first about the changes you are going to make. And then the entire page is plastered with just your name for the newest contributions. If you want to run this site entirely by your own so you can get all the Credit for all the "hard work" you've put into this Wiki then just say a thing, I'll take my things and leave the Rocket Knight Fandom Wikipedia again. You are just treating me as someone who provides you the Japanese Manuals because you can't translate them by your own, otherwise I'm not really important to this Project.

I'm not sticking to this kind of treatment.

As long as you don't learn to communicate with me in all regards of the Rocket Knight Fandom Wikipedia I'm not going to continue my work. I was patient enough and told myself to stay calm because maybe I'm just seeing it the wrong way. But no.

You are working on so many things in such a fast pace and all I see is your name on the frontpage for the latest Contributions. I really see no point in continuing if there's no interest in any sort of communication between us.

You asked me for helping you out but so far I had no real communication with you in terms of the work and roles at Wikipedia itself. All you were asking for was minor things related to Rocket Knight which you might want to add into one of the Articles. Sometimes you are questioning things that should be obvious to answer, sometimes you are questioning things neither I or anyone else could give you an answer to. And some things need to be translated first so I can give you a 100% legit answer. I don't provide fake information.

I'm also taking my time here to tell you that I am translating these Manuals all by myself. I'm not a professional. I'm still average in terms of translations. I need my time. Japanese is a complicated and vague language. I can't provide you the entire translation in around 2 hours. That's close to impossible. And my friend who is willing to translate the Beep! Magazine articles regarding Rocket Knight together with me is also very busy.

Sorry but I needed to get all of this off my chest. I'm a human that relies on working together with people. I rely on communication for effective work. If you aren't this type of person then sorry, I'm not the right person to work with.

    Sincerely,

    KokoaMinto

    • Well, I'm sorry if I was bugging you for the Golden Sword translations, about my edits, I never wanted to "rival" with anybody since I don't want to create fights. It gives me some bad memories when I tried to help someone...

About the sprites needing transparent backgrounds, I guess the way I wrote it comes off rude and pushy. Though I never wanted to such to make conflicts, of what I write.

      - About the Golden/Holy Swords:

I don't mind you asking me things like that. I will give you an answer as soon as I was able to translate the Story of the RKA2 Manual up to this point. So far all I was able to translate was something about a "Legendary Armor" and the "Key of the Seal", and that the story takes place 5 years after the plot with Devligus Devotindos.

From what I can tell you about all of this is one thing: The US/Overseas Manual was cutting out a lot of the story. There are certain parts that were translated, but there's also a lot of stuff missing in comparison to the Japanese Manual. It takes more time than expected to translate the Japanese Manual, but from the looks of it this Manual has way more information up its sleeves than the US/Overseas version has. Axel Gear and Princess Cherry are involved within the Story of the Japanese Manual, as example. Something that is entirely missing in all other Manual versions.

      - About the rival thing:

I don't see it as some sort of rivalry between us, but I told you once before that you should try to slow down a bit. And it's necessary to communicate with each other so we can work effectively as a team. It's really not my intention or interest to rival with anybody - All I want is to work hand in hand with you so we both can have a benefit out of it. The benefit is giving the right information to the people that stumble across the Rocket Knight Wikipedia.

But tell me: How should all of this work if no communication is at hand between us? I know you were working on this Wiki site alone for 2 years now (or even longer), but now we work as a team. A team needs communication to stay up-to-date with everything surrounding the Wikipedia Articles and Template/Layout changes.

I don't like to fall into conflicts with others myself. I understand that you don't want to create fights. No one likes to fall into arguments with others. Nonetheless I expect a bit more interaction between us as a team. I rely on you as much as you rely on me.

      - About the sprites:

As I said before I don't really get the entire deal of making the backgrounds transparent. But I will replace them with transparent versions once I get the time for it. There's really no point in rushing things.
